Group of thieves target Nordstrom in River North, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A group of thieves targeted a Nordstrom store Sunday evening downtown Chicago.

The crime happened around 6:55 p.m. in the 0-100 block of East Grand Avenue in River North, Chicago police said.

Witnesses told police that a group of about 10 offenders exited three vehicles and forced their way into the store.

The thieves took merchandise before fleeing in the vehicles, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Chicago police did not provide any further details as they continue to investigate.
