CHICAGO (WLS) -- During Black History Month, Chicago Firefighter-Paramedic Asia Moore is using her visibility in uniform to inspire young people to rethink who belongs in public safety. Moore says her work goes beyond emergency calls, focusing on education, mentorship and building trust in the neighborhoods she serves. She appeared on ABC 7 Chicago to share her path into the Chicago Fire Department and why representation matters, especially for communities that have experienced generations of disinvestment. Moore hopes that by showing up and doing the job, she helps young people see what's possible for themselves. For more information, click here.
