CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- A south suburban shooting left one person dead and four others injured early Saturday morning, police said.

Chicago Heights police officers responded to a disturbance in the 400-block of West 14th Street around 4 a.m.

Responding officers found three people who had been shot, along with another person, who had suffered injuries to his face.

All four were taken to local hospitals, Police were also told of another gunshot victim who walked into a nearby hospital.

Police said one victim died from his injuries. Two people are in critical condition, and two others are in stable condition.

Kameron Henderson was identified as the man killed, according to the medical examiner.

Henderson was 27-years-old and lived in Country Club Hills, the ME said.

The victims' ages were not immediately known.

What led up to the shooting was not immediately clear.

The Chicago Heights Police Detective Division and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating and asked anyone with information to call 708-756-6400.
