

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago police officer was among two people injured in a crash Thursday afternoon on the city's Southwest Side, a fire department spokesperson said.
The crash happened around 4:39 p.m. at Archer Avenue and Nagle Avenue in Garfield Ridge.
Chicago Police Department officials said a CPD squad car driven by an officer was traveling on Archer Avenue and was attempting to turn into a parking lot when it was hit by a sedan. The officer had a neck injury and was taken to a hospital in fair condition.
The driver of the sedan, a 38-year-old man, decline medical attention. A 36-year-old woman who was a passenger in the sedan had injuries to her right arm and leg and was taken to a hospital in fair condition, police said.
No citations were issued, CPD officials said.
