18-year-old shot to death on Chicago's West Side identified by officials

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Officials have identified the Chicago man who died after showing up to a hospital with a gunshot wound.

An 18-year-old walked into Loretto Hospital on Sunday at about 7:40 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. The man died at the hospital.

He was identified as Aden Ramirez of the Portage Park neighborhood, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Chicago police said the shooting happened in the area of the 3800-block of W. West End Avenue in East Garfield Park.

Nobody is in custody.
