
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 26-year-old man was shot in the face and critically wounded on the South Side Sunday night, Chicago police said.
The shooting took place at about 10:20 p.m. in the 7900-block of South Western Avenue.
Police said the victim was driving when he heard gunshots outside the vehicle and felt pain. He was transported to Advocate Christ Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Area One detectives are investigating.
