Man killed in Englewood shooting, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was shot and killed in a shooting in Englewood Sunday night, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 11:19 p.m. in the 600-block of West 61st Place.

Officers were on patrol when they heard gunfire and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

The man was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Area One detectives are investigating the shooting.
