Man killed in Cragin shooting, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 39-year-old man was shot and killed inside a residence in the Cragin neighborhood Thursday morning, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 4:34 a.m. in the 5100-block of West Deming Place.

Police said the victim was inside a residence when he was shot in the chest. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one is in custody and Area Five detectives are investigating.
