Woman shot, killed on West Side, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was shot and killed in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Friday morning, Chicago police said.

Officers responded at about 5:30 a.m. to the scene in the 200-block of North Kilbourn Avenue.

Police said a woman with a gunshot wound was found unresponsive in an alley and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further details on the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
