Child seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in Aurora

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- A child was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in west suburban Aurora Wednesday afternoon, Aurora police said.

The incident occurred at about 4:11 p.m. in the 400-block of Titsworth Court.

Police said the child suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and transported to a local hospital before being transferred to a higher-level trauma center.

The driver stayed on the scene, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
