Pedestrian hospitalized, 95th Street ramp closed after hit-and-run crash on Dan Ryan: ISP

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A hit-and-run crash is impacting traffic on Chicago's South Side on Saturday morning.

Illinois State Police said troopers responded to the crash on the outbound Dan Ryan Expressway just after 3 a.m.

A pedestrian was struck and taken to a local hospital, ISP said. Their condition was not immediately known.

The driver fled the scene.

The 95th Street off ramp from the outbound Interstate 94 remains shut down as police investigate.

What led up to the crash was not immediately clear.
