2 people hit, injured by car while outside of vehicles on I-90, state police say

COOK COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- Two people were hit and injured by a car while outside of their vehicles Saturday afternoon on Interstate 90 in the north suburbs.
The crash happened around 2:34 p.m. on eastbound I-90 at milepost 73 near Elk Grove Village, Illinois State Police said.

Two vehicles were involved in a crash near the location, police said.
Two occupants of the vehicles were standing outside of them when they were struck by a third vehicle, ISP said.
The two people were taken to local hospitals for injuries. No further information about them has been released.
There was partial lane blockage on I-90, ISP said.
Illinois State Police continue to investigate.
