CHICAGO (WLS) -- Aaron Schock's corruption case is staying in Springfield. A federal judge refused the former congressman's request to move it to Peoria.

Schock is accused of using government and campaign money to fund a lavish lifestyle and pocketing thousands of constituents' dollars.

He requested the move last month arguing that the Peoria court was more convenient and appropriate. Prosecutors didn't want the case moved.

Schock's arraignment is set for Monday.
