
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A freight train was robbed on Chicago's West Side on Tuesday afternoon, a Metra spokesperson said.
BNSF trains were halted due to police activity near West 19th Street and South Marshall Boulevard in the city's Lawndale neighborhood, Metra said at 4:21 p.m.
At 4:36 p.m., Metra said BNSF inbound and outbound trains were back on the move and may be operating up to 35 minutes behind schedule.
Chopper 7 was over the scene at about 4:30 p.m. A stopped freight train and police squad cars could be seen.
When the robbery started was not immediately clear.
Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
