
LANSING, Ill. (WLS) -- A semi carrying about 40,000 pounds of beer was involved in a south suburban crash that is causing delays during the Monday evening commute, Illinois State Police said.
ISP said troopers responded to the crash on Interstate 80 eastbound west of Torrence Avenue, near Lansing, just after 3:15 p.m.
One person was injured in the crash, which also involved a passenger vehicle, ISP said. Their condition was not immediately known.
ISP said traffic delays are expected.
What caused the crash was not immediately clear. ISP said the investigation is ongoing.
