2 bystanders shot, 1 fatally, in Lockport Township shooting, Will County Sheriff's Office says

LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP, Ill. (WLS) -- One bystander was killed and another wounded in a shooting in Lockport Township Wednesday night, the Will County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies responded at about 7:54 p.m. in the 200-block of Dellwood Avenue.

Deputies arrived and found a 31-year-old woman and man wounded, the sheriff's office said.

Both were transported to the hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead., police said. The man is expected to recover.

The sheriff's office said the victims were bystanders who got caught in crossfire.
