Lombard man charged with sexually assaulting girls he met on social media: officials

LOMBARD, Ill. (WLS) -- A west suburban man is accused of sexually assaulting young girls he met on social media.

Adam Johnson is charged with sexual assault, sexual abuse, and possession of child sexual abuse material.

The Lombard man allegedly targeted two girls on social media and abused them at his apartment.

He is being detained until trial.

Prosecutors are asking anyone with information about Johnson to contact police.
