Los Angeles offers spot for Lucas Museum

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago has new competition for a planned museum for George Lucas's art collection.

Los Angeles is offering a spot near the University of Southern California in the city's south side.

Chicago has offered a site between Soldier Field and McCormick Place.

San Francisco is also in the running for the museum.

Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, is expected to make a decision this summer.
