McClain is a friend and ally of former Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan.

This summer he was sentenced to two years in prison for his role in a corruption scheme.

Madigan is also in a federal prison camp in Morgantown, West Virginia.

He's been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.

Madigan, 83, recently asked President Donald Trump for a pardon at the completion of his sentence.

A clemency case has been opened and the petition is under review.
