
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Firefighters battled multiple brush fires in the north suburbs and on Chicago's Far South Side on Wednesday.
A person was seriously injured in the fire in Chicago.
Metra Union Pacific North train service was affected in North Chicago as firefighters battle a fire near the tracks, Metra officials said Wednesday afternoon.
Some trains were stopped, while fires blazed by the tracks. Trains began moving again Wednesday evening. Extensive delays were expected.
Chopper 7 was over the scene about 4:30 p.m.

Several fires in brush along the tracks could be seen, with smoke in the air.
North Chicago fire officials said there were multiple fires along Sheridan Road. They asked motorists to use alternate routes.

On Chicago's Southeast Side, Chicago firefighters battled another brush fire.
Chopper 7 was over the scene near 4001 E. 134th St. about 6:30 p.m.

Chicago fire officials said a civilian was burned by the brush fire and was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
