Police search for 2 burglary suspects after stop on I-355 in Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in DuPage County are searching for two burglary suspects after stopping the vehicles on I-355 in Downers Grove Monday morning.

Police said at about 2 a.m., Elmhurst officers and other DuPage County agencies observed a burglary at Mr. Submarine at 1322 Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove.

Two vehicles fled the scene and two female suspects from one vehicle were arrested after a traffic stop in the area of Ogden Avenue and I-355, police said.

A second vehicle with four suspects inside stopped in the area of Maple Avenue and I-355 and the suspects fled on foot, police said. Two male suspects were arrested after a foot pursuit.

People are asked to call 911 if they see suspicious activity in the area.
