CHICAGO (WLS) -- October is Creole Heritage Month and national pasta month, and what better way to celebrate than with the mastermind behind Provaré.

It's a Creole-Italian fusion hot spot shaking up Chicago's dining scene.

Chef Jourdan Higgs, owner and head chef of Provaré, joined ABC7 to talk about what inspired him to introduce this Southern soul to Chicago diners.
