Man robbed at gunpoint in River North, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two armed suspects took a man into an SUV and robbed him at gunpoint before dropping him off at another location downtown early Saturday, Chicago police said.

Police said it happened in the River North neighborhood's 200-block of West Ontario Street around 4:45 a.m.

The two suspects got out of a dark-colored SUV and approached a 29-year-old man, who was outside, police said. The suspects then guided the man into the SUV, where they took out a gun and demanded his belongings.

Police said the suspects then dropped the man off in the 300-block of West Illinois Street.

No injuries were reported, and area detectives are investigating.
