South Side dance team carries on founder's legacy on the Road to the Bud

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Ultimate Threat Dance Corp brought high energy to ABC7's "Road to the Bud" Tuesday morning.

Founded by Verndell Smith in 2010 to give South Side youth a safe, creative outlet, the team is now led by his sister, LaToya Smith.

"This is about legacy and love," she said during the segment.

The group will perform in the Bud Billiken Parade on August 9, live on ABC7.
