Crews remove truck hanging from Eisenhower Expressway overpass at St. Charles Road

ELMHURST, Ill. (WLS) -- Crews cleared a truck is hanging from an Eisenhower Expressway overpass in the western suburbs Thursday morning.

All lanes of eastbound I-290 between St. Charles Road and I-294 were blocked to traffic.

Illinois State Police said a semi-truck crashed and is hanging over an overpass of I-290.

Video from IDOT showed the truck rolled over and hanging on its side.

Illinois State Police said at about 2:42 a.m., a semi-truck jack-knifed, lost control and crashed through temporary concrete barriers. IDOT said the truck ended up between an old bridge that is being demolished and the new bridge.

Shortly after 9 a.m., the truck was cleared from the roadway.
