
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman is dead after being hit by a CTA train on Chicago's Northwest Side early Friday morning, police said.
Police said the woman, whose age was not immediately known, was found on the CTA Blue Line tracks at the Logan Square station around 4:30 a.m.
The woman was pronounced dead on the scene. Officers are conducting a death investigation.
The incident temporarily halted trains in both directions earlier Friday. Service has since resumed, but riders may still see residual delays.
The CTA urged travelers to allow extra time and consider alternate routes.
