Woman killed in Logan Square crash; Charges pending, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was killed in a crash in Logan Square Wednesday morning, Chicago police said.

The crash occurred at about 1:07 a.m. in the 3700-block of West North Avenue.

Police said a driver, a 43-year-old man, jumped the curb and hit a raised barrier.

Witnesses told police the driver was speeding while trying to make a turn before the crash.

The 41-year-old passenger died at the hospital.

The driver is also in the hospital. Police said charges are pending.
