The Chicago Bears have hiredGreen Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy as their offensive coordinator, the team announced Sunday.

Getsy, 37, joins new Bears head coach Matt Eberflus, the formerIndianapolis Coltsdefensive coordinator who was hired Thursday.

Getsy will be tasked with helping a struggling Bears offense that endured instability at quarterback, where Andy Dalton alternated as the starter with rookie Justin Fields during the 2021 season.

The Packers ranked first in touchdown-to-interception ratio, second in Total QBR and fourth in passing touchdowns. The Bears ranked 29th, 30th and 29th, respectively, in those categories.

Getsy's departure from Green Bay will leave another hole in the Packers' offensive coaching staff. Earlier this week, offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett was hired as the Denver Broncos' head coach. To replace Hackett, the Packers are promoting offensive line coach Adam Stenavich and are also promoting Luke Butkus to offensive line coach to fill Stenavich's spot, sources told ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

NFL Network earlier reported news on Stenavich's promotion, while The Athletic earlier reported Butkus' new role.
