Major retailers are offering Christmas in July sales and one of the biggest shopping events is Amazon Prime Day, which is returning for a two-day savings extravaganza on July 11 and 12.
Best Buy said it laid off 5,000 workers, closed 20 of its big-box stores in each of the past two years and expects to close a higher number this year.
A car drove into the front of an Aurora Best Buy Wednesday morning; police are investigating if anything was stolen.
Much of the chain's growth came from delivery and curbside pickup sales. Online sales boomed 174% last quarter, accounting for more than a third of their sales.
In a statement, Walmart said that it did see a massive traffic surge when the next-gen console was released.
PRIME DAY: Amazon isn't the only store with blowout bargains this week. Its largest rivals are joining the discount party, too.
