Once upon a time, Dwyane Wade, Dwight Howard and Dirk Nowitzki ruled the rankings. They've plummeted this season, but can these aging greats still help their teams in 2017-18?
Dirk Nowitzki has decided to opt out of the final season of his contract with the Dallas Mavericks but still has no intention of leaving the team.
Asked if he plans to retire this offseason, 37-year-old Dirk Nowitzki told reporters Tuesday: "That's out of the question. I felt great this year."
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle took issue with the Thunder for what he said were unnecessary cheap shots during Game 3. Said Carlisle: "There's no place for that in our game."
Dirk Nowitzki said on ESPN Radio that he wouldn't make a firm decision about his final season until after completing his current contract on the 2016-17 campaign.
Dirk Nowitzki moved past Shaquille O'Neal as the No. 6 scorer in NBA history by hitting a midrange jumper with 9:51 remaining in the second quarter Wednesday night in Brooklyn.
