CTA and Pace transition to Ventra complete

CHICAGO (WLS) -- After months of warning riders, CTA and Pace riders must use the new Ventra card beginning Tuesday, July 1.

Trains and buses will not accept magnetic strip fare cards. Riders must instead use a Ventra card or a debit or credit card.

Cash is still accepted on buses.
