The Hope Center in Kankakee holding open house

KANKAKEE, Ill. (WLS) -- An open house is planned Wednesday for a first-of-its-kind center in Kankakee.

The Hope Center will offer no cost services to support vulnerable families in the area.

Wednesday's event will also feature a community food drive for families experiencing food instability.

It happens at 11 a.m. at the center on Schuyler Avenue in Kankakee.
