Doctors are now following new guidelines, with hopes of saving more lives.

For the first time in years, the American Stroke Association put out new treatment guidelines. And for the first time, they're addressing pediatric strokes.

Doctor Shyam Prabhakaran, the chair of the Department of Neurology at UChicago Medicine joined ABC7 to talk about strokes and how people can lower their risk.
