Holiday Heroes deliver hope and good cheer to pediatric patients in Chicago area

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Holiday Heroes have been delivering hope and good cheer to pediatric patients in Chicago area.

The program hopes to inspire long-lasting joy and happy memories for pediatric patients and their families.

Anybody can nominate a child or teen facing chronic health issues.

The "hero" must be younger than 18, diagnosed with a chronic illness and can be anywhere in the United States.

The visits are completely free to the family, and are made possible by community supporters.
