Celebrating the first day of summer at Johnnie's Beef

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Sunday, June 21 marked the first official day of summer 2026.

ABC7 kicked off the third annual showcase of ice cream and Italian ice shops around our area.

Frank Stompanato and John Aretos from Johnnie's Beef in Elmwood Park joined ABC7 in studio to show us some of their Italian Ice flavors.

They are located at 7500 W North Avenue and at 1935 S Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights.
