CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chocolate prices are expected to go up again as poor weather has reduced the cocoa supply.

That is pushing prices of that key ingredient up 12 percent so far this year.

Last summer, several major brands, including Hershey, raised chocolate prices by about 8 percent because of rising cocoa prices. Milk and nut costs also increased.

So far, companies have held off on raising prices this year.
