Request for proposed Crestwood strip club withdrawn

CRESTWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- Crestwood officials say a local business owner has withdrawn his request to open a strip club in the south suburb. The owner wanted to turn a former showroom into a gentleman's club.

Crestwood mayor Lou Presta promised a fight, and on Monday he said the proposal was withdrawn after the owner realized the lot didn't have enough parking spaces.

Monday night's public hearing on the proposal has been canceled.
