Telemarketing calls top fastest growing American consumer complaints

Telemarketing calls and violations to the "do not call" registry top the list of fastest growing complaints among American consumers.

That's according to the Consumer Federation of America and North American Consumer Protection investigators.

Home improvement and construction gripes, and used car sales are also rapidly-growing areas of complaints by consumers.

Top overall complaints are in the auto industry. They include everything from misleading advertising to faulty repairs.

Those top complaints are followed by gripes about home improvement and construction and credit and debt disputes.
