CPS announces North Side 'Field of Dreams' at Alcott College Prep

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Some Chicago Public School students on the city's North Side will be getting a "Field of Dreams."

CPS announced Saturday that construction will start this spring at Alcott College Prep east campus in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

The project, expected to be complete in the fall, will include a new playing field, playground, running track and basketball court.

Funding comes from several sources, including $600,000 in "open space impact fees" announced Friday.
