CHICAGO (WLS) -- This summer, as students are out of school, one organization makes sure Chicago youth have something fun to do and learn something, too. The Midtown Educational Foundation has programs for girls and boys. Through its Midtown Center for Boys and Metro Achievement Center for Girls, it aims to help close the achievement gap for Chicago's urban youth ages 8-13.
Liz Gaggioli, assistant program director, and Claudia Valencia, Metro Achievement Center alumna, came into our ABC 7 Eyewitness News studio to tell us about the programs and how you can sign up.
