CHICAGO (WLS) -- A substitute teacher has been charged with choking several students at a school in Wicker Park.

Abdul Muztar, 64, faces five misdemeanor counts of battery after the incident Friday at Sabin Magnet School.

Vanessa Valentin allowed her 7-year-old son, one of five alleged victims, to talk with ABC7 Eyewitness News about the incident.

"He started choking me, slammed me against the wall, and my nose was in the board," Valenin's son said.

Muztar is due in court next month.
