SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES -- A local father and daughter spent hours each day creating a stop-motion Lego animated Jurassic Park parody that went viral on YouTube.

Paul Hollingsworth and his daughter Hailey, along with a group of friends and voice actors, spent more than three months building and shooting the flick.

Hollingsworth works for a production company that makes Lego videos, and he grew up surrounded by the brightly-colored building blocks.

"I've been fortunate enough to get a lot of Lego as presents. Like if you were to imagine every present you ever got in your whole life was Lego, you amass tens of thousands of dollars in your collection," he said.

Hailey, 8, seems to have inherited the Lego gene.

"It was a lot of fun to make this movie. I helped out by building some of the sets," she said.

While Jurassic Park is the duo's latest masterpiece, it isn't their only ode to Legos and Hollywood movies. The Hollingsworths have posted more than 20 Lego movies on YouTube. They've posted everything from Hailey's "Brick Girl" Lego building videos to a parody of Marvel's "The Avengers."

"It's just something that we've been able to share together, and it's really beautiful to see her just develop these amazing skills," Hollingsworth said.

The two are planning to use their skills again, but are still thinking of what their next Lego parody will be.
