CHICAGO (WLS) -- Dozens of active duty service members turned out for an award-winning documentary's big-screen premiere about one of their own.

Forty active duty military members walked the red carpet at the AMC River East theaters on East Illinois.

"Travis: A Soldier's Story" is about the life of U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills.

He survived losing portions of both arms and legs from an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan in 2012.
