CHICAGO (WLS) -- Families are sharing this Father's Day holiday with the dads in their lives, many of whom are working the grill.

"Being a father is the best title you can have," said Tom Richards. "I own a company. I have many titles within the company, but being dad, that's the most fulfilling, the most rewarding."

From the South Side to the North Side, dads across Chicago are being spoiled rotten Sunday, getting to spend some quality time with their families.

"My kids made us breakfast," said Samir Patel. "My wife is at home now taking a nap, and we're going to enjoy the zoo."

Lincoln Park Zoo was certainly a popular option for those with young ones. Gary Barnstable was celebrating his first Father's Day.

"It's busy. It's a lot of fun. It's an experience that everybody. I don't have words," Barnstable said.

Meanwhile, a truly unique and special father's day celebration took place in the West Pullman neighborhood. Celebrating 25 years, Real Men Cook brings together dozens of men of all walks of life who volunteer their time and their food, hoping to set a good example for others.

"We wanted to make Father's Day meaningful, because when men are involved in the home it transforms the lives of our homes, of our communities," said Real Men Cook's Rael Jackson.

"My family, I choke up because they've done so much," said volunteer cook Jimmy Toles. "They could have gone the other way, but they're on the right track. And I try to be a good father. I fail sometimes, but most of the time I did OK."
