Manny's Deli celebrating 75th birthday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An iconic restaurant in Chicago's South Loop is celebrating 75 years in business Monday.

Manny's Deli and Cafeteria near the corner of Jefferson Street and Roosevelt Road opened back in 1942.

Since then, it's been a meeting place for politicians and has served as a backdrop for several TV shows.

The restaurant is holding a celebration Monday at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds will go toward the Restaurant Association Education Foundation.
