More of America's children and adolescents are overweight and don't seem to know it, according to a new survey conducted by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention.

The survey found that nearly 80 percent of overweight boys thought they were about the right weight.

Researchers say about 71 percent of girls were also mistaken, thinking they were the right weight as well.

The CDC says the findings should be a wake-up call for parents to talk to their child's doctor and find out what's a healthy weight for their age.
