MAYWOOD (WLS) -- People laced up their running shoes for a good cause Sunday morning as part of the Health, Hope & Heroes 5K Run and Walk in Maywood.
The event is in its fifth year and is meant to recognize young pediatric heroes. This year, about 1,500 runners participated, raising about $125,000 for the pediatric center at Loyola Medical Center, according to CEO Larry Goldberg.
ABC7's John Garcia served as master of ceremonies for the event.
