Cyclists to compete at 15th annual Winfield Criterium
The 15th annual Winfield Criterium kicks off for cyclists at Oakwood Park in Winfield.

WINFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- There is no shortage of races for runners in the Chicago area, but on Saturday, July 12, cyclists are going head-to-head! They're competing in the 15th annual Winfield Criterium. Todd Busteed, Criterium race announcer, and Joe Beryni, professional cyclist and 2012 London ParaOlympics Gold medalist, joined us live during our ABC7 Eyewitness News Saturday Morning show from Winfield. A few BMX stunt performers showed off their skills as well.

You can head out Oakwood Park to watch the cycling races and enjoy the entertainment. You can also complete bike safety tests and earn raffle tickets to win a bike. Children can participate in a kids race. The event goes on all day, weather permitting.
