CHICAGO (WLS) -- Customs agents seized nearly $700,000 worth of jewelry from a man flying into O'Hare International Airport.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the man did not declare the items as he returned to the U.S. from Europe, but customs officers noticed receipts for what appeared to be high-end jewelry. They say they found 29 items.

The man says he works as a jewelry distributor. He faces a penalty and could forfeit the items.
