One person was injured after a car slammed into a parked van and pushed it into a popular restaurant.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One person was injured after a car slammed into a parked van and pushed it into a popular restaurant in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Chicago Fire Department officials said paramedics arrived at the Senor Pan Cafe in the 2600-block of West North Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Monday.

The driver of the SUV was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious-to-critical condition. The restaurant was closed at the time of the crash. No other injuries were reported.

Officials from the Chicago Department of Buildings are expected to evaluate the damage.
